Enrolling at Sea Star Swim School

At Sea Star, we understand that everyone has a busy schedule. For that reason, we try to make our enrollment process easy!

We plan our class schedule around the Sumner County school calendar, taking breaks when Sumner County Schools takes breaks. This way, you have plenty of advance notice as to how our quarters will run for the next year, and can plan your child's other activities accordingly. Please note that we do not give refunds or credits if a conflict with another activity arises once your child has been enrolled in a class; our schedule is set, so please be sure that a class will work with your child's schedule before you enroll.

Re-enrollment is not automatic; you must affirmatively re-enroll each quarter. We offer "priority signups" as a courtesy to our students who are currently enrolled in class. This presents an opportunity to keep the same day and time, or it gives a " first priority" to change a class day and time.

Priority Signups

We encourage our parents to take advantage of our Priority Signups. Our first week of enrollment for the next session is reserved for currently enrolled students to keep their current class and time. Here's how it works:
  1. Sea Star Swim School communicates enrollment times by email and on the pool lobby chalkboard.
  2. You must have completed our Online Registration Form (see top of page) to have your account set up and enroll in a class. This only needs to be done once.
  3. On the day your child's class meets during Priority Signup week, stop by the Pro Shop or give us a call at 615.822.8800 to re-enroll. You must have credit card info available at the time you call or we cannot reserve your class. Please note that we do not automatically re-enroll your child for a class; you must contact us to confirm your class. If you do not register and pay in full during that week, you lose your priority on that particular class and it will be available for open enrollment the next week. Classes will not be held without payment in full.
  4. Remember, Priority Signups are for keeping the same class day and time ONLY. Any changes to class day and time must be made after priority Enrollment.
  5. Changes in class level: If your swimmer is transitioning to another class (Parent/Child to Toddler, Lap Swim to Little Flipper, etc.), you will not be able to make this change until after the week of Priority Signups, and there is no guarantee that you will be able to reserve a particular class day or time. Your child's teacher will tell you when your child is ready to move to another level, such as Lap Swim or Little Flippers.
  6. Again, we do not give refunds if a conflict with another activity arises once your child has been enrolled in a class; our schedule is set, so please be sure that a class will work with your child's schedule before you enroll.  Our NO REFUND policy also applies if you decide to drop the class after payment is processed.

Make Up Classes

Sea Star Swim School DOES NOT OFFER "make-up" classes for missed lessons or swim team workouts for any reason. We do not offer "make-up" classes for lessons where a substitute teacher has been called into a class. Our staff is here to serve you every day.

Class Prices:

Sessions can run any from 6 weeks to 10 weeks in length.  We base our calendar on the Sumner County Schools' calendar.  Sessions are priced by the amount of classes in the session.  For example, our standard 8 week session would cost $130 for the first child and $125 each for additional child. There is also a yearly family registration fee of $35 that is due the first time you enroll each calendar year.  NOTE:  Jr. Select will be an additional charge because it meets two nights per week.
Tuition will vary, depending on length of the session. Please call our office at (615) 822.8800 for current session's prices.
*NOTE: Prices and class schedules are subject to change without notice at the discretion of Sea Star Management.
