Enrollment at Sea Star
Enrolling in a class just got easier! Effective August 28, Sea Star is using a new enrollment system called Captyn.
NOTE: If you were NOT enrolled in our Fall 2024 session, you will need to create an account in Captyn. Just click on the link below.
To enroll, it's as easy as this:
- To set up a new account, go to our Captyn webpage: https://swimatseastar.captyn.com.
- After you enter information for your family, select a class, then enter a credit card to pay. It's DONE! No need to call the office or stand it line for a class.

- IMPORTANT: Be sure you complete a profile for your child as the Participant! Even with the Parent/Child class, the child is the one who should be enrolled in the class, not the parent.
- When the class says "Class Full", please note that the class is 100% full and no more swimmers can be added. There is no need to call the office for clarification because Captyn automatically closes the class when full.
- Understand that if you enroll your child in an incorrect class level, Sea Star reserves the right to decline and/or move that swimmer to an appropriate class, even if it means you must change your class day and time. For helpful information about our class levels, please read this information before registering. If you still have questions, call our office at 615-822-8800.
Helpful Hints:
- Please be sure that your correct information is in the Captyn system, including your cell phone number. One of the advantages of Captyn is that we can text message you in case we have a weather closure or any other kind of emergency situation.
- Enrolling in a class is a lot like making any purchase online. Choose the appropriate class. Your selected class will go into a cart, and you will enter your credit card number to pay for your classes. Captyn has the flexibility of taking Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover for payment, so all of you who prefer AmEx and Discover take note. You will receive confirmation once your enrollment is complete or if there is an issue with your credit card. Captyn is a secure system, so if you save your credit card information, it will make future enrollments easier.
- We will review enrollments each day and contact you if we have any questions or concerns.
- The Captyn system is incredibly easy to use. It walks you through every step, and as we said, it is just like any other purchase you make online.
*PLEASE NOTE THAT THAT SEA STAR HAS A STRICT NO REFUND POLICY ONCE YOU HAVE ENROLLED IN A CLASS! Be sure that you have no schedule conflicts before you enroll your swimmer in a class.

At Sea Star, we understand that everyone has a busy schedule. For that reason, we try to make our enrollment process easy!
We plan our class schedule around the Sumner County school calendar, taking breaks when Sumner County Schools takes breaks. This way, you have plenty of advance notice as to how our quarters will run for the next year, and can plan your child's other activities accordingly. Please note that we do not give refunds or credits if a conflict with another activity arises once your child has been enrolled in a class; our schedule is set, so please be sure that a class will work with your child's schedule before you enroll.
Re-enrollment is not automatic; you must affirmatively re-enroll each quarter. We offer "priority signups" as a courtesy to our students who are currently enrolled in class. This presents an opportunity to keep the same day and time, or it gives a " first priority" to change a class day and time.

Early Enrollment
We encourage our parents to take advantage of our Early Enrollment. Our first week of enrollment for the next session is reserved for currently enrolled students to reserve a class for the next following session. Here's how it works:
- Sea Star Swim School communicates enrollment opportunities by email to our currently enrolled families.
- Log into the Captyn system: https://swimatseastar.captyn.com, and pull up your account. Your email is your login ID. You will select your swimmer's class and pay for it with your credit card on file. Enrollment is available 24/7 for your convenience.
- If you have any questions concerning class levels, please ask your swimmer's teacher.
- Again, we do not give refunds if a conflict with another activity arises once your child has been enrolled in a class; please be sure that a class will work with your child's schedule before you enroll. Our NO REFUND policy also applies if you decide to drop the class after payment is processed.
- Early enrollment will not be available for certain sessions. You will still get an advanced notification of enrollment times, but there will be no formal priority on specific classes. We encourage you to act promptly to re-enroll in these situations.
Make Up Classes
Sea Star Swim School DOES NOT OFFER "make-up" classes for missed lessons or swim team workouts for any reason. We do not offer "make-up" classes for lessons where a substitute teacher has been called into a class. Our staff is here to serve you every day.
Class Prices:
Sessions can run any from 6 weeks to 10 weeks in length. We base our calendar on the Sumner County Schools' calendar. Tuition will vary, depending on length of the session. Please call our office at (615) 822.8800 for current session's prices.
