Learn to Swim:

Everyone should learn to swim, even adults!  At Sea Star, adult lessons are taught by experienced teachers, each of whom have a special sensitivity to the needs of adults learning to swim.  Adult lessons are not limited to the beginner and include individuals of all ability levels.  We understand that each adult brings his/her own history of swimming experiences and special fears to the pool with them.  All adults who are afraid of the water should begin with private lessons.*

*Special comment:  If you are an adult who is extremely fearful or even “phobic” about the water, please do not hesitate to call us.  We can help.  Many adults share your fears, and Sea Star Swim School specializes in helping students with phobias master the skills needed to help them overcome their fears.  We will arrange a “quiet” time, where we can get into the water with embarrassment or self consciousness.  The most important thing to remember is that you are NOT alone.  We will be happy to give you references of other students just like you, who have taken control, conquered their phobia, and successfully learned to swim. Private stroke technique lessons for adults at any level are available at Sea Star.  Whether you are an adult who simply wants to be more efficient at lap swimming, or you are a seasoned masters level swimmer or triathlete looking to find that winning edge, a private lesson can help you gain the advantage in achieving your optimal level of conditioning and fitness.
