  • Scott Chlasta

    Scott: Manager/Swim Instructor/Coach.

    Scott is the oldest son of Sea Star Owners Ron and Mary Chlasta and has been teaching at Sea Star since 2009. Scott started competitive swimming as an 8 and under, swam on two All American Teams at HHS, and swam competitively all the way through college at WKU (Go Tops baby).

    His favorite part of instructing is getting to see every little success that each swimmer achieves as they progress through each level.

  • Troy Chlasta

    Troy: Manager/Swim Instructor/Water Safety and Survival Instructor/Deep End Fitness Instructor.

    Troy is the youngest son of Sea Star Owners Ron and Mary Chlasta and has grown up swimming in the Sea Star pool since he was 3 years old. He has been teaching lessons at Sea Star since 18 years old.

  • Aidan Garner

    Swim Instructor

    Aidan has been with Sea Star September 2024. He started swimming at a local pool in Oregon and joined the YMCA team once he moved to Tennessee. He has 8 years of competitive swim experience.

    His favorite part of teaching is rise getting to connect with kids through conversation and getting to watch them learn to love swimming.


  • Audra Ownby

    Swim Instructor.

    Audra has been teaching at Sea Star since September 2024. She started swimming at age 7 with Indian Lake Pool’s swim team coached under our very own Ron Chlasta and swam competitively with HHS until she was 17.

    Her favorite part of coaching is seeing young swimmers realize how brave and capable they are. Watching excitement and confidence light up in their eyes is a privilege that she cherishes.

  • Lindsay Ahlmeyer

    Swim Instructor.

    Lindsay has been with Sea Star since October 2024. She started swimming with the MTSC Masters team in August 2023. She also coaches the MTSC middle school swim team here at Sea Star.

    Her favorite part of instructing is seeing the swimmers gain confidence from doing something they thought they couldn’t do and seeing others experience the joy of being in the water.
